American Goldfinch

Here is a very special Goldfinch standing on a mullein weed. The finch and mullein are carved out of a single piece of tupelo wood down as far as the top three leaves that stick out away from  the stem. The rest are carved and inserted into the stem. The piece is painted with acrylics.
